Arthur Murray, our founder, believed that EVERYONE can learn to dance. What started as mail order footprints, quickly grew into a family of franchised dance studios with 327 locations worldwide.
Well over a century later, we continue his tradition of innovative dance teaching. Whether you’ve been dancing for years or have two left feet, our proven method is designed to get you on the dance floor fast!
What type of music can you ballroom dance to?
Pretty much everything. Partnered dancing can be done to Big Band, Latin, 80’s, Top 40, Classic Rock ‘N Roll, Bossa Nova, Motown, Disco, Country Western, etc. If there is a beat, you can learn to dance to it! Check out our What We Teach page for more info.
Will my lessons interfere with my busy schedule?
We are extremely aware that life tends to be busy for most people. We will be able to accommodate any schedule. Studios are open Monday – Saturday. Please check each individual studio for specific hours. You can find the closest studio near you using our Studio Locator
Will it take long?
You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The length of your training depends upon how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient you would like to become in each dance.
Can I learn to dance?
Dancing becomes easy and fun the moment you begin dance lessons with one of our friendly Arthur Murray experts. Hundreds of thousands have already learned to dance the Arthur Murray way. You do not need to bring a partner to learn and enjoy dancing in any of our studios.
Is dancing easy to learn?
We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach four simple basic movements from which new combinations are derived.
